Self Love


February is traditionally depicted as the month of love. One person we often forget to show our appreciation for, however, is ourselves. We are so busy trying to please others that we forget to take a bit of time out of our day. Small daily or weekly practices, such as ten minutes of meditation or half an hour of reading before bed, can significantly improve our mental and overall health.

Here are a few other helpful practices to try out this month!

At the end of the day, take a moment to write down three great things that occurred, or that you are grateful for. Focusing on the positive aspects helps bring up our overall morale.

On Sundays, take a half hour or so to arrange your weekly menu. Planning ahead increases your chances to make healthier food choices, results in you feeling your best.

At least once a week, make sure you indulge in an activity that you truly enjoy. Whether it’s cooking a new meal, dancing, painting, etc. Make this time you take for yourself non-negotiable.

Lastly, take a few moments out of your day to just breathe. No noises, no distractions, just you checking in with your body. The simplest things can make all the difference.
